I Am Just A Fly

Found on Page 48 in La Shawna- Release The Energy Within

I wish I could be a fly on the wall

Seeing it all

And my only advice would be the flapping of my wings

As I sit on my throne

Watching daily human interactions

Let’s see who my first victim is

I swarm the heads of many

Who have died

By the hands of nuclear weapons

The stench is pungent

It contaminates my wings

Making me see the damage immensely

The pain

A mother wailing

Trying to find her loved one amidst the rubble

Her two hands blood stained as she lifts pieces of rubble twice her size

The pain does not matter she find him at all costs

I wish I could help her but I am just a fly seeing it all

I am a fly

With big eyes

And I witness

It all

I see my Islamic brothers and sisters

Crying and begging for someone

To

Save them from the hands of those

Who do not care about their life

A tear escapes from my eyes

Clouding the massacre

I wish I could save them

But what can I do

I am just a fly looking in

If only I had super powers

That I could become a man

And do the good Lord’s plan

Saving others

And loving them like myself

Then I would cause many to soar

And fly above the great beyond

But I only have the quality to report what I see

Stupse I am only a fly

A mere insect

I would make so much of a difference if I could become a man

Please choose me

I beg to be more than a mere fly

I see myself making a huge difference in my life

I am just a mere normal fly

That people try to spray

Constantly as I am a humbug they say

But really I am trying to bless them with my wings

Show them a new way

That me a fly am protecting them

Yet their spray causes me to run away

I am just a fly

But I have so much to say

I am a fly

I am accepting it

This fly that sees it all from above

The fact that we do not know how to show brotherly love

As we must reap the most material awards

Before we go heaven

Therefore we do not care about anyone

Not even the poor and suffering

As we trample upon them in our quest to be wealthy

Their problems and their agony we are blind to see

Well that is everyone except me

As I the fly see it all

The big and the small

As I am just a mere fly up here on the wall

I know I am a fly

An insect

But before I leave

I want you to question this

How many of you are just like me

Wanting to help those but cannot find a way to make them see

That no matter how small our gestures may be

We can all make a change

Even me the fly

And that makes me smile

Up and down my wings!
